About

Isca Church is a church and registered UK charity based in Exeter, Devon. It began in the 1970s when local followers of Jesus got together informally to learn about God and the work of the Holy Spirit, and is now linked to the Salt & Light network of churches. It has always been noted that Isca is part of God’s church in Exeter.

The vision of Isca Church is to share Life in Exeter.  We look to express community both within the church and with those in our local community.  We want to share Life to the full, which we believe is found in Jesus, who says in John 14:6 ‘I am the way and the truth and the life’.

We believe that our mandate is to ‘Love God, Love People’. Our love for God is expressed in small groups and collective worship, and learning to live according to the Bible’s principles. Meeting together in small groups (also called lifegroups) during the week is an important part of how we grow together in community.
We want to show people God’s love in action in any practical ways that we can, and are active in seeking to do this, as individuals and in a collective context.

For us, church is a part of everyday life, not just Sundays. It is not a building, but a group of people who come together to share Life in all its fullness, and who desire to share that Life with others.
